The smooth Class Library is an object oriented class library for C++ application development. It currently runs on Windows and Linux platforms, but the Linux port has no GUI support, yet.

The smooth project was started in 1998 as a closed source project. The first versions of smooth were not object oriented and the code was a mess. In 1999 I started to reimplement the existing smooth as an object oriented library, but the architecture was not extensible and therefore bad. Later in 1999 I planned a new architecture for smooth and started to rewrite it from ground up.

After more than one year of development I released the source code under the terms of the "Artistic License". I hope that I'll find some developers who are interested in helping with the development - especially with the Linux port.
